We are a privately owned group consisting of four machine shops, serving customers in, among other areas, the environmental and forest industries. Joensuun CNC-Machining Oy has been part of the group since 2021. As our operations have grown, we have invested more systematically in supplier network management and partner selection. Our key criteria when choosing partners are delivery reliability, quality, flexibility, and fast response and lead times. In addition, responsibility and environmental requirements have become increasingly important to us.
Kivi became our partner in 2023 through a concrete business need. We were looking for a supplier for a product we could not manufacture in-house, and similar expertise was not available locally. After evaluating several suppliers, Kivi quickly stood out as a competitive option for responsiveness, scheduling, and pricing. We had no prior experience with Kivi, but the first impression was very positive.
The cooperation began on a smaller scale but has since expanded. Based on our positive experience, Kivi has been approved as a supplier at the EFM Group level, not only for the Joensuu unit. Currently, we source approximately twenty different product items from Kivi. The entire supply chain has operated reliably throughout the process, from order to delivery. The cooperation has generated exclusively positive feedback, including from the end customer, and there have been no issues or complaints during our shared history.
The collaboration has been flexible and smooth. In situations with tight schedules, Kivi has been able to respond quickly and support delivery reliability. We have also received fast and comprehensive answers to questions related to environmental reporting and carbon footprint calculations. We appreciate that Kivi’s pricing has remained stable, even as prices have increased significantly in many parts of the market.
We see Kivi’s core strengths as high-quality production of large series. Looking ahead, we also expect even closer technical development and joint problem-solving – a strong and growing partnership. Kivi responds reliably in all matters, and we can confidently recommend them to others.
